*  Gait - without gait you don't have a Paso Fino.

*  Temperment - having a good temperament is essential in any horse but especially in a breeding stallion where that temperament is being passed on to his offspring. Good temperament is a joy to be around and fun to work with.

*  Conformation - a well conformed horse will be able to do the maneuvers that are asked of them. Horses with conformation faults will have difficulty or be unable to do the maneuvers that are asked of them. This is unfair to the horse.  Poor conformation can also lead to medical issues.
